Honda Wins More Green Awards for the Civic CNG

You know all about how fuel-efficient the Honda Civic is. And you probably know how eco-friendly the Honda Civic Hybrid is. But, did you know you can get all of the features of the famous Civic powered by something a little different?

If you've never heard of it before, we'd like to take a minute to introduce you to the Honda Civic Natural Gas. For years it's only been available in California, New York, Utah and Oklahoma, but as of this year, Honda has rolled availability out to more than 35 states across the country. This is news that Kuni Honda is particularly excited about, because it's one of the greenest cars on the road today.

Yes, compressed natural gas burns cleaner than traditional fuel. And yes, it's costs nearly half as much. Green Car Journal awarded the Civic Natural Gas (formerly known as the Civic GX) with their coveted "Green Car of the Year" award this year, and the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ACEEE) has recognized it as the "Greenest Vehicle" for eight years running. And, it's continued to earn awards like this even after all-electric vehicles hit the market in the last couple of years.

Just because it's fueled differently, doesn't mean it's any less fun to drive. It's powered by a 110-hp, 1.8-liter i-VTEC engine mated to an automatic five-speed transmission. And, not only will the fuel cost you less money, but you'll get farther on a tank at 27 mpg city/38 mpg highway.

Like we said, you can expect all of the same features in the Civic Natural Gas that you'd expect to find in any of the other Honda Civic models in the lineup. You can contact us via our website to learn more about the Honda Civic CNG. Not ready for the compressed natural gas lifestyle? Remember, you can always test drive any of the fuel-efficient new Civic models now available at Kuni Honda, 10750 E Arapahoe Rd Centennial CO 80112.
