Though Honda remained tight lipped prior to the reveal of their all-new 2012 Insight at the Frankfurt Motor Show last week, a few snippets managed to slip through the cracks.

The 2012 Insight will deliver greater fuel efficiency, evidenced by the vehicles more aerodynamic front bumper and grille. Beyond the exterior, Honda has revealed, that the new Insight will also benefit from reduced engine friction and improvements to the continuously variable transmission (CVT) and air-conditioning system. The tuning of all of these components translates to a fuel economy of anywhere from 45.6 mpg to 51.3 mpg, an increase from the 2011 Insight, which delivers just 43 mpg highway/40 mpg city.
